Indian-American Immigrant Poet and Filmmaker Named Poet of the Year by The Americas Poetry Festival of New York

Poet and filmmaker, Michelle Yasmine Valladares was awarded Poet of the Year at the Americas Poetry Festival of New York, 2017, a multilingual poetry festival featuring 60 poets and 5 languages.  This award is for her “lifelong literary achievements and for her poetry that reflects the rich multicultural spirit of The Americas.”
